Built into an almost identical case with the same number and layout of knobs, the Vintage Time Machine is more like an original Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man than later models and has its own unique sound.

Designed to bring back those lush analogue chorus, vibrato, and delay sounds, it nails that classic ’80s tone — perfect for guitarists chasing the shimmering textures of The Edge (U2) or the moody depth of Geordie Walker (Killing Joke).

You get hands-on control over level, wet/dry mix, delay feedback, delay time, and modulation amount. A rear-panel switch toggles between chorus and vibrato (essentially the same effect, but chorus blends in the dry signal). This version also adds two outputs — one for dry, one for effect — opening up wide stereo possibilities. For mono setups, just use the effect output.

At the heart of its sound is a set of analogue charge-coupled delay line chips — the same tech that powered those iconic vintage units, complete with a touch of the original high-frequency hiss as echoes decay. With a max delay time of 550ms, and modulation built-in, you can move from tight, warbly chorus to rich, shimmering echoes — especially effective when chasing atmospheric post-punk or ambient dub textures. The modulation rate is fixed at around 1Hz, but used subtly, it delivers that ethereal swirl.

Whether you’re looking to channel vintage guitar heroes or build deep, spaced-out dub mixes, this pedal is a rare beast — offering genuine ’70s and ’80s vibe at a fraction of the cost of an original Memory Man.
